Southern Arizona we have a year-round season of weed growth. People are often unaware that weeds grow during the
winter months, as well as the rest of the year.
Services Offered:
Pre-emergent herbicides are used to control weed seeds before they sprout. They affect only the seeds when they germinate.
Any existing vegetation or weeds will not be harmed by the pre-emergent herbicides.
Pre-emergents are applied over the entire yard. The more through the pre-emergent treatment the better control.
All of our customers receive a pre-emergent treatment on the initial service and then again every 6 to 12 months as needed.
Pre-emergent treatments are not 100% effective. You will still have occasional weeds. This is because there
may be hundreds of thousands of seeds on your property that are just waiting to emerge. Seeds can stay dormant in the
ground for many years. Plus, people, animals and wind are constant contributors to bringing in more seeds to your yard.
Post-emergent herbicides control weeds that have already started grounding. Once they start growing they can and
will generate more seeds and your weed problem will get worse.
This is why a monthly weed control program using a post-emergent herbicide is nessecary for optimal weed control.
